Letting a foreigner play mahjong, what is it if not utterly boring?
With Alvin being as slow as a turtle, he rummaged through a card for at least five minutes before playing it, shifting it from left to right, and then right to left, pulling one out and tucking it back in while muttering, "No, no, I don't think I can play this one."
Then he would switch for another, but it was just the same.
He shuffled and shuffled and finally nervously played one, then looked scared he had made a mistake and asked, "Am I playing this right?"
The three men felt like exploding then, darn it, we didn't see your cards, how could we know if you got it wrong!
However, to hoodwink Alvin, all three nodded, "That's right, that's right, you can't go wrong with any card."
Alvin blinked and instantly got excited, "Really!"
In this manner, a single round with Alvin took at least an hour.
It was so exhausting!
At this rate, we might only get through a few rounds by midnight.
