Fat Ben was an unusual person. A coward that was. At least it was the case for Lucianna. He would act bold, treating her like a lady, but all because he stood to gain something from it. He didn't care and flirted with her despite Beichen's presence, who had become less of a problem and more of a nuisance to his thorough plan to incapacitate him.
Apparently, according to the person who provided him the drug, it was supposed to be so potent that one sip could knock out a giant grizzly bear, let alone a human being.
But the man had drunk the whole cup, and it was as if nothing had happened. Nada. Not a dent.
Fat Ben hissed angrily under his breath, hiding his discontent at being conned by some measly lowlifes. He made a note to get his money back, which was unfortunately millions gone.
So, he resorted to Plan B, something he briefly schemed up on the spot a while ago when he figured that the drugged wine was not going to work.
