"The class has ended. However…" The servant hesitated. "Young Master Morgan refuses to return to his room. He says he wants to sleep in Miss Rosaline's room tonight."
Alfie stared at him for a moment. Then he sighed and waved him away.
"I see. You may go."
Once the servant left, Alfie hurried back to Mervyn.
"Young Master Morgan wants to stay in Miss Rosaline's room tonight."
Mervyn's face immediately soured.
"Again???"
He threw his hands up in exasperation.
"That boy! How many times do I have to remind him about the rules?"
Without waiting for a response, Mervyn stormed out of the room.
Alfie hurried after him.
By the time they reached Rosaline's room, Mervyn was already muttering under his breath. He pushed the doors open—

The room was empty.
His irritation vanished.
"What?"
He stepped inside and looked around, but nobody was there.
