Neither of them, including their doting mother, even bothered to remember that Qiao Meixia was also supposed to register at the same school today.
A few minutes after the sedan rolled out of the driveway, Qiao Meixia walked downstairs from her isolated room, dressed in simple clothes, and headed toward the dining room for breakfast. Just as she reached the wide arched entrance, Jiang Lukang happened to look up from his financial newspaper and noticed her presence.
"Eh? Meixia, why are you still here?" Jiang Lukang asked, his brows furrowing in genuine surprise. "Shouldn't you already be in the car to school with Yanna and Chinan?"
Qiao Meixia looked back at him, her dark eyes completely expressionless.
"I did not know anything about it." Qiao Meixia replied flatly. "No one told me."
