Kashi's Father is 4th strongest, and the richest man in the world. He can get anything he wants and doesn't lose any of his money.
The whole team was stunned leaving everyone speechless for a while. While three strange businessmen staring at them with a smile immediately know that they had found their target. "You look a lot different but the eyes are the same as theirs. Though you've been missing for 10 years." The middle one said while smoking.
He's right most common eyes they have are darker brown or black color. Kashi's eyes are a little different; he has bright brown eyes that show multiple details on his iris. The bright, unique brown color is the rarest. Which can only be seen by family heritage. And same thing for natural color for hair.
"Did my good-for-nothing father hire you?" Kashi asked While the other was stunned that he bad-mouthing his father even though he's a hero. Simultaneously, all three men nodded.
"Oh oh oh," Liana suddenly laughed. "This is interesting, never thought I'd see someone like it. So when are we meeting your father?" Liana teased as if she was enjoying herself.
Kashi darted an eye at her, This is the first time Kashi ever felt so irritated. "Tell him to buzz off." he cursed to the mysterious three figures.
"Your father is an S rank, you can't defy him. If he needs to, he'll drag down by the ends of the Nanoon just to get you." the left one said.
"You mean spending on mercenaries? Why can't he just come down himself? All he can do is waste money and neglect me as if I'm not his child. Buzz off again." He got off and left the scene.
Three men follow Kashi after, trying to convince him to come back. "You sure? Your father needs you right now. Then they disappear into the crowd.
Everyone at the table was speechless.
"To think we met two S ranks in the last couple of days. How many more now in the next 5 days? And they're all men!!" Liana said angrily.
"There are two women in the top 10 though," Shannon said as she sipped her drink.
Flame on the other hand felt something was off, they had slight killing intent. But he wasn't sure, but it wasn't hard to figure out, they're probably assassins or Mercenaries. Not everyone knows Assassin or Ninja. Even spies don't know each other. Although anyone can tell that they were clean and friendly. Flame can tell they're mostly arrogant, probably the reward is so good for them.
The reward is something that spies, mercs, and assassins love. No matter the mission, the greater the reward the better. Lower the difficulty the lower the risk they had to take for greater reward.
Flame never really cares about the reward but he has killed plenty of people in the past and will not stop any more missions that he's capable of doing. As a B rank, it isn't impossible to accept any mission since he's quite skilled. A rank although on a whole other level, but he's capable of beating them. S rank, on the other hand, is impossible to defeat.
Usually Flame wouldn't dare to interfere with an assassination attempt. However, Kashi had done a lot for them lately and he wouldn't let them go.
The other proof that Flame felt something is off was that a guy in the middle had a tattoo on his neck. Nobody noticed it since he hid it so well. But not enough for Flame.
While Liana and Shannon casually talk to each other, talking about Kashi's family and we should leave it alone because of his family matters as they set up for meeting for another time with just Flame. As they are about to leave to say farewell to Flame, suddenly they notice that Flame had a request.
As Kashi storms away into a crowd feeling irritated. Of course, he needed to settle in to relax. However, his pursuer tailed them showing no signs of surrendering. 'I needed to shake them off' He cries inwardly. Usually Flame shakes them off but Kashi is much slower.
"The target is trying to flee." The man on the right reported.
"No problem. He's the weakest one in the family. Remember the mission, catch him and reveal the location of the artifacts.." The middle one said.
"Sir, the target on the move." The man on the left spots Kashi running into the alley.
"Don't lose him." The middle one said.
"Sir!"
Three of them begin to speed up as they turn into the alley where fewer people walk in. And it is a lot darker since buildings are blocking the sunlight.
"Dead end??" Kashi Cries. "Freedom city is nothing but a maze!!" Kashi felt even more nervous since he doesn't want to get dragged back to his family after 10 years. And the nightmare won't end since he also has 3 siblings. Kashi is the oldest but also the weakest. Father was disappointed in him immensely as he began to neglect Kashi. His mother also has high expectations since all the children are aiming to be an S rank. He just can't… A C rank and still impossible to rise to a B or A rank.
Just as he was about to turn around, he was suddenly surrounded by three men.
The right man held his hand as the green wind barrier, so Kashi doesn't have any way to escape. Perfect for catching the prey.
The left one held out his small dagger, enough to make it wound but never fatal…
"Hey! Hold on." Kashi ceaselessly floats because of the barrier. "Did my father want to hurt me?" He knew his family and his Father would never hurt him. And yet he decided to do it now? He wondered.
The middle man smiles as he smokes his cigar. "That was bait."
"Huh?" Kashi had his confused look, but it wasn't hard to figure out that they wanted to kill him since he's the easy target.
"That face. You know the situation. Pretty smart. Now, where are the Artifacts? Your father hid it. And now you are going to tell me. Where is it?" He asked.
