The Seraphim defense was a success but unfortunately there was one casualty. Codena despite not being human or alive counted as the first deceased. And with her death the sun had set on the lands. Thus both of the armies sounded their war horns. And the battle was ended then and there. Anomaly 3 gave the order to stop and thus the ones who were fighting against the army finally came to their senses.
As they saw the blood of their own brethren on their hands it caused them to go crazy. They had did something that was nothing short of a betrayal. They raised arms and killed their own comrades who they had spent their whole lives with.

And the day had officially ended with the sun setting on the lands. The King was happy with the result overall. As according to his estimations approximately 30 thousand soldiers would have bitten the dust if not intervened.
The entire army was celebrating. Some of them were thinking of leaving for the capital since they were on standby all day and not needed a bit. But orders were not yet issued by the Head.
The reporters were boldly on duty recording and showing everyone in the capital what had happened in the bettlefield. And many were horrified by the sheer bloodshed. But some were enjoying the one sided slaughter. As many of the individuals have lived a very sheltered life inside the capital.
And rarely ever leave the capital. Thus they don't know much about the outside world.
But to prevent this issue the Foundation holds many trips around the lands many times a year.
The God's side had seen a lot of causlties as they dragged the bodies of the fallen back to the site for their cremation. As an honor to the deceased. By cremating them they sent their souls back to the Godess of Life and once again enter the cycle of reincarnation. As they joined their hands and prayed for their salvation. But still many souls fell into hell. As many of those were bandits and marauders who have done their fair shair of damage to gain bad karma. And thus to balance the scales the God of Death dragged them to hell.
A carriage ascended to the heavens carrying the commander of the army with it. The carriage landed softly on the clouds where they were escorted to the great hall where the God's resided. The God's who were fighting in the war were unsatisfied with the result.
The Godess of Water spoke up first.
Water :
Child of the deep oceans. Why have you faced failure. We have lent you our angels, Seraphims and Thrones still you couldn't decimate the blasphemous.
You have made a joke of the holy War.
Commander :
My lord. Our weapons are outdated we do not have enough strength to take them down with out weapons. Please allow me to bring my forces from the deep.
Water :
I understand your anger. I have lost a friend just as you have lost your ancestry. And I allow you to bring every weapon you can to annihilate them.
Not only that I shall give you the command of the entire heavenly army.
Commander :
What about the damned.
Death :
No. The damned are suffering until their karma is balanced out. And the specters are already loose so no.
Commander :
The I shall make do with what I have.
Saying this the commander left the heavens and once again descended down back to the lands. And began stratergizing. She decided to sabotage their base while they are drunk on their victory.
She summoned the leader of the exiled elves Blake.
Blake :
What can I do for you. Commander
Commander :
I've heard you got tyes to the Foundation. Can I trust you.
Blake :
My own kind branded me and threw me out of my own home. And I have inherited not only my anger but as well as others who have been exiled with me.
Commander :
Will you be able to kill your own.
Blake :
Not anymore do I call them my own. They are nothing but enemies.
Commander :
Well then I need you to infiltrate the Foundation and sabotage them.
Blake :
Should we be doing something like this. This is beneath us. We are the ones who are righteous

I decide what is beneath me. Now take your units and do not return until you get results.
The commander slams the desk in the camp very angrily.
Seeing this Blake the exiled elf swiftly left the camp without saying anything and led 3 squads including himself to the Foundation.
Meanwhile on the other side.
Just as predicted everyone wad drunk on victory. But except for 4 who exactly knew what the gods were capable of.
The army was celebrating by singing songs of valor and victory and dancing on them. While their allies set up tents and made preparations for fresh food. A few of them snuck alcohol on the battlefield. But they were soon confiscated by their senior.
A roll call was held in order to ensure numbers. And it seems that there were some deserters. Across many squads most of then were adults between the age of 20-25. Who were caught sneaking to the capital and
The King took the center stage before his army once again.
King :

Today we all have taken a stand agains the God's today. We have given them the message that humanity shall not be wiped out without a fight. But this reprimand requires sacrifice of blood and sou. l I would like to inform you that we have total 1 casualty today.

As he chanted the slogan all the soldiers followed through and began repeatedly chanting the same slogan many times until the King continued further.
King :
I see that many in the army have deserted their post. Because they have either seen the brutality of the war or deem their presence unnecessary. For such people there is no need to search for them. I have to agree with Jay. I imagined it to be a tough battle but I'm surprised as well.

And as Jay was leaving the tent Vania Frost grabbed him from behind.

Both of them went away from the camp.
