The gap between the giant and the dark continent was nothing like that of Lidrath; for one, the distance between both was only about a thousand kilometers. Though they both had water in common.
Stretching out before them was an ocean; still, unlike that of Lidrath, they could spot several landmasses—islands scattered across the ocean surface.
All these would have made for generally pretty scenery… except those details paled in comparison to the absolute visual spectacle unfolding as far as the eye could see from that point onward.

And although his description was close, it did not exactly give justice to what his eyes beheld.
The skies resembled glass—except glass that was fractured and appeared just ready to shatter, even if it didn't. Still, etched into those glassy skies were a mixture of all the seven colors of nature.
