Chapter 3 - The Devil in Disguise

Turning down a seemingly random alley in the city of Winter, Grayson pulled up his hood. He walked up to a door with a small "closed" sign and knocked.

[Knock Knock Knock]

"Password?" A cold voice said behind the door.

"Growth comes from pain." Grayson replied.

Soon the door was opened and a behemoth of a man appeared nodding at Grayson.

"Oh Mike? Your at door duty today?"

"Yeah master didn't have time to spar so I picked up an extra shift, plus since Sam went on the mission we needed the extra help around here."

"Gotcha, is master here?"

"He should be training that rich noble girl, if I had the money she uses I would be ten times stronger than I am now."

"What about Nala?"

Mikes expression changed from one of invitation to one of concern at the mention of Nala.

"Gray you can't keep getting involved with her you know she's barely allowed in as it is. Also master has been trying to get rid of her more and more."

"I know I just need to talk to her about a few things, I promise I won't go stretching my neck out."

Sigh. "She's in the back with her underlings."

"Great thanks Mike."

"Be careful Gray!"

With that Grayson or Gray the name that few who really knew him called him that, turned and went searching for Nala. Passing by the rows of gym equipment and some people from the club working out or training he went to the sauna in the back. He nodded at those he knew only seeing a few fresh faces.

Although magic is powerful you need to have a healthy and strong body to be able to do serious damage. Too slow to react and you can be killed by even commoners who know how to use magic. That's why places like this exist, The Hidden Talon. Useful for training your body to be able to better adapt to the impossible complications magic has on the world.

Think about it like this you could make a huge hammer of ice, but if you couldn't swing the hammer then it's the same as making an anchor. That's why people train their bodies. To use their magic efficiently and get as strong as possible.

Grayson grabbed a towel from the rack and before going into the sauna changed his clothes in the male locker room, leaving him in just a towel.

Sigh. "Always in the sauna, why won't she just dry out all her thirstiness?" Grayson groaned to himself. He then walked to the sauna steeling his resolve for what he knew was about to happen and slowly pushed his way in.

"-ed them all. It was really a great night. Oh your back so soon I thought you didn't like our sweet company?" One voice said and two other heads turned in Graysons direction.

"Your right, Nala he said something about us being a a means to an end, didn't he?" A softer voice said.

The owner of the voices where Nalas henchmen or henchwoman is more precise. Hannah and Evie respectfully.

Grayson turned to Hannah "I love your company of course and Evie I think you misunderstood me, I was always going to come back and talk with you all again." He lied.

"Misunderstood?" A third and final voice said. As always that voice was heavenly. The right amount of authority and seductiveness included. The owner of the voice stood up and walked over to Grayson.

As she got closers he could see her bountiful figure almost falling out of her towel. Her legs slim and long, with a small waist but firm ass attached. Although she was almost thirty her body was flawless. The worst part being that she was gorgeous to all men and women. Her face looked angelic and her blonde hair matched. If not for her personality she could of fought for the title of saintess.

"Nala." Grayson said softly.

"Hello, Grayson long time no see!"

"Scoff. It's cus' he wasn't planning to visit us again after he got that potion." Hannah stated.

"Hmm, is that true Grayson?"

"No." He lied again.

"Ok, because you said so I'll believe you, so what's up how can I help you this time?"

"I need another potion."

"Another one?! Do you know how many hurdles Nala went through to get you the last one? You know how strictly alchemy potions are regulated." Evie said this time.

"I know, I'm sorry I had to use it before the entrance exam, I'm not sure if I can survive without it. You know how my magic works I need it to pass. Nala please help me again."

"You know I had a feeling this would happen. So I bought an extra one just in case." Nala grinned as the words came out.

Gray could feel something was wrong in the depths of his stomach, his own gut told him that and his mind believed it quicker than a second later, but he couldn't stop himself when he heard her last statement.

"Could I possibly have the healing potion?"

"Hmmm.. but how are you going to pay for it?" Nala replied with her angelic face twisted into a smile.

To Grayson he saw an angel, but he knew she was the devil in disguise.
