Chapter 324 - Chapter 302.3 The Ninth Protogenos Side Story

The echoes of Will's laughter still reverberated through the Forge, ricocheting off walls of cosmic stone and threading through the molten rivers like bright ribbons of impulsive joy. Reality quivered beneath the weight of her first breaths, trembling at her very existence.

Then a flash of brilliant golden-white light filled the chamber, and Order appeared, expression stormy, his presence radiating authority and unmistakable displeasure. The moment his polished boots touched the Forge's floor, the chaotic tides recoiled, their unruly waves flattening obediently before him.

He surveyed the transformed Forge—the shattered islands of crystallized time, the reversed rivers, and the countless chaotic anomalies swirling unchecked. Order raised one gloved hand, commanding authority etched deep in every line of his face, and gestured sharply.

Instantly, the Forge responded.

Molten streams resumed their natural course, flowing once more in deliberate, graceful arcs. The fractured islands reassembled, stabilizing into perfectly suspended crystalline shapes. Imbalances faded into silence, harmony restored all across reality at Order's mere touch.

"Chaos," Order's voice resonated deeply, his gaze locking onto his elder sibling with stern accusation, "you've truly outdone yourself this time. Creating a sibling—another constant—without consulting the family? Without so much as a whisper of your intentions?"

Chaos drifted serenely, utterly unbothered. "Consulting you would have defeated the purpose. I wanted it to be a surprise."

Order's scowl deepened. "This is reckless, even for you. And you—" He turned sharply toward Matter, who flushed beneath his gaze, cheeks colored in embarrassment and regret. "You allowed yourself to be pulled into this? I expected more from you."

Matter folded her arms defensively, though she avoided meeting Order's gaze directly. "It…was compelling. I didn't fully anticipate the consequences."

"Clearly," Order muttered darkly, pinching the bridge of his nose with visible frustration. "This 'Will' you've created is already affecting existence itself. Even Fate's tapestry is unraveling. You've unleashed chaos upon realms that once knew peace."

"I didn't unleash her," Chaos replied gently. "I merely invited her to be. She responded and came into being."

Order's eyes narrowed sharply. "You always treat existence like a toy to be played with. Consequences never cross your mind until the damage is done. Now I have to clean up after the both of you."

Before Chaos could reply, the air rippled softly, accompanied by a quiet whispering of distant dreams. Dream materialized in a swirl of soft gray mists, silver eyes warm with gentle amusement. He inclined his head gracefully toward his gathered siblings.

"Greetings, family, Elder sister," Dream said, voice rich with subtle mirth. "It seems I missed quite the spectacle."

"You've arrived just in time for the reprimands," Chaos informed him lightly. "Order's lecturing again."

"Ah, good," Dream replied dryly, lips curving faintly. "It wouldn't feel like a family gathering without at least one lecture from Order."

Order shot Dream a disapproving glare, though Dream merely smiled benignly in return. Dream's attention quickly drifted to Will, who hovered upside-down above the cauldron, still shifting through countless forms with playful abandon.

Dream approached slowly, fascinated by her chaotic essence. "She's magnificent," he murmured appreciatively, observing her ever-changing features. "So much like my own realm. Ever-shifting, impossible to predict, always transforming. She could easily wander through my dreams without ever feeling out of place."

Will paused momentarily, settling briefly into the form of a young woman with vibrant, shifting hair color and rainbow colored eyes. She regarded Dream curiously, sensing the resonance between them.

"You have a place that changes, too?" Will asked eagerly, eyes alight with curiosity.

Dream smiled warmly, nodding gently. "Yes, my realm is built of dreams and imagination, constantly reshaped by those who visit. You would find yourself most welcome there. Consider it an open invitation."

Will's eyes sparkled, and she laughed joyfully, the sound rippling through the Forge. "I'll visit soon, then! Your place sounds delightful!"

Dream inclined his head graciously. "I look forward to it."

Before the moment could settle, the Forge darkened abruptly. Shadows pooled into existence, coalescing slowly into Nether's brooding form. His dark caramel skin glowed faintly against the surrounding gloom, the ouroboros tattoo across his chest shimmering dimly. He sighed heavily upon seeing Will's chaotic display, the sound weary yet resigned.

"Another sibling," Nether murmured, his voice carrying an ancient weight. "And one filled with boundless energy. Why am I not surprised?"

Will flashed beside Nether instantly, form shifting to a bright-eyed child with starry hair. She peered up at him earnestly, reaching out to tug gently at his shadowy cloak.

"You look sad," she declared frankly. "Why are you sad?"

Nether sighed again, shoulders slumping slightly beneath the weight of countless eons. "Because life is exhausting, little one. And now it seems existence has another reason to drain me."

Will frowned thoughtfully before transforming again, this time into a tiny glowing kitten nestling gently into Nether's arms. "Maybe you just need to smile more," she suggested helpfully, blinking huge, innocent eyes.

Nether stared down at the tiny creature cradled carefully in his hands, momentarily at a loss. Despite himself, the faintest smile tugged reluctantly at his lips.

"You're a persistent one, aren't you?" Nether murmured softly.

"I don't know. I think so," Will agreed cheerfully, purring softly against his chest.

Across the chamber, Fate suddenly moved toward them, radiating pure fury. His emerald threads writhed around him, chaotic and torn, sparks of raw destiny crackling in their frayed ends. His voice sharp with barely suppressed rage.

"You've destroyed centuries of my work!" Fate thundered, threads sparking violently. "Parts of the Nexus itself is collapsing. I've lost control over countless destinies, all because you two decided to create this uncontrollable anomaly!"

Matter flinched guiltily under his fury, while Chaos merely regarded him serenely.

Fate's voice grew colder, filled with barely contained wrath. "This is beyond reckless. She is beyond prediction, beyond containment. You had no right to bring such danger into existence."

Chaos met Fate's furious gaze steadily. "Perhaps your tapestry needed unraveling. Perhaps your chains needed breaking. Rather than waste time yelling at me, shouldn't you be rushing to fix it?"

Fate opened his mouth sharply to respond, but halted abruptly as the Nexus's distant screams intensified. He vanished without another word, emerald sparks lingering briefly in the air behind him.

The gathered siblings exchanged quiet, uncertain glances, tension lingering heavily in Fate's absence.

Then, Void drifted lazily toward Will, who shifted eagerly to meet her newest sibling.

"You're a tiny, loud thing, aren't you?" Void remarked mildly, eyebrow arched critically.

Will tilted her head, unoffended. "And you're a boringly old quiet one. Do you ever laugh?"

Void rolled her eyes, though amusement flickered faintly in their depths. "At you, perhaps."

Will scowled, shifting into a playful fox, ears twitching indignantly. "I'm not funny! Laugh at yourself!"

Void snorted softly. "You certainly are funny. The loudest clown in existence."

They stared at one another defiantly before dissolving simultaneously into laughter, their bickering rapidly becoming playful, sibling rivalry echoing throughout the Forge.

Order observed the exchange with quiet exasperation, shaking his head slowly. Dream watched with gentle amusement, lips curved faintly. Nether merely sighed once more, stroking the fox still nestled contentedly in his arms.

Chaos smiled brightly, immensely pleased.

Will's laughter echoed like a thousand singing stars, each note rippling outward through the Forge and beyond, tugging at the very fabric of creation.

Then, suddenly, she stilled.

She hovered midair, eyes kaleidoscopic, her form flickering erratically—fox to child, child to crone then to a dragon, then to a shape so abstract even her siblings couldn't fully comprehend it. A strange hush fell over the Forge as every being present—manifestations of order, dream, death, nothingness, and matter—felt something shift.

Will's voice, carrying the weight of newness and infinite possibilities, spoke softly.

"This place isn't right enough for me. I need… my own space… like the rest of you."

Before anyone could respond, she vanished.

A ripple spread across the void beyond the Forge and the other realms belonging to each member of the family.

In a place where no light had yet touched, where even Chaos had never set foot, the air thickened. Reality folded inward, condensing around a single spark—Will herself.

Colors impossible to describe spilled from her being, painting the emptiness. A great pulse of intent surged outward, transforming raw nothingness, a void, into something alive and wondrous.

And then, it appeared.

A world unlike any other.

What came into being was a place of pure whimsy and wild imagination.

Here, rivers of liquid light coiled and danced in the sky like playful serpents. Islands floated weightless, sprouting trees whose leaves whispered secrets, each one unique depending on who listened.

Gravity was optional; those walking its paths might soar suddenly into the air or sink joyfully into the clouds below.

The skies shifted moods at random: one moment bright with laughing suns, the next aglow with a serene, moonlit calm, then bursting into multicolored auroras dancing like celestial ribbons.

At its heart stood a grand Palace of Becoming, yet it refused to stay still. One moment, it was a crystalline tower of silver glass; the next, a cozy cottage built of stardust and gentle music. Each visitor saw a different palace—whatever they willed it to be.

Back in the Forge, the siblings stood silently, gazes fixed on the nascent realm blooming in the void.

Order was the first to break the silence. "She's… reshaping raw possibility with no framework. No symmetry. No restraint." He pinched the bridge of his nose, exhaling slowly. "This new little sister is very much like you, elder sister."

Dream chuckled softly. "Perhaps not. There is a strange harmony to it—a harmony of movement and freedom. I like it personally."

Nether sighed deeply. "It's exhausting just looking at her realm. I can already feel how many mortals will flock there to flee my embrace. They'll call it a mad paradise."

Void tilted her head slightly, pale hair drifting like ink in water. "It's loud and a bit gaudy," she said. "But… I suppose it's fitting for her."

Chaos only grinned, her starlit form vibrating with delight. "She's perfect the way she is, and the realm fits her perfectly."

A bright flash.

Will reappeared suddenly in the Forge, upside down, grinning from ear to ear in the form of a small child with a halo of rainbow fireflies.

"Did you see?" she asked eagerly. "I made a place! My place! You're all invited!"

Dream inclined his head graciously. "It sounds like a fascinating realm. I'll visit when the dreamers wander too far."

Nether groaned softly. "I already dread the mortals who will be drawn to her and what she'll grant them."

Will pouted briefly before flickering into the form of a bright yellow butterfly that landed gently on Nether's nose. "Maybe you just need to lighten up!"

Nether swatted playfully at her, though a faint smile betrayed his amusement.

Order, however, remained stern. "Will, your existence has already somewhat disrupted the balance. You must learn control, or the consequences will cascade endlessly."

Will blinked, momentarily a little girl in overalls with mismatched socks. "Control? What's that?"

Order exhaled slowly, closing his eyes. "Exactly my point."

Chaos clapped her hands, eyes twinkling with delight. "Oh, I love her. Leave our cute little sister alone, Order."

Void stepped forward, crossing her arms. "So, little sister… do you intend to spend eternity bouncing around like an overexcited sunspot?"

Will spun in place, turning briefly into a glowing fox with twin tails. "Maybe I do. What are you going to do about it?"

Void smirked faintly. "I could erase you."

"Could you?" Will teased, shifting into a copy of Void, mocking her serene tone. "Could you really?"

Their argument devolved into a rapid-fire exchange of playful barbs and flickering forms. To anyone else, it might've seemed hostile—but to the family, it was clear: they'd already slipped into the easy rhythm of siblings.

Will's laughter filled the Forge one last time before she vanished in a swirl of rainbow light, teleporting back to her new realm.

The family stared silently at the space she had occupied.

"Utterly uncontainable," Order muttered under his breath.

"She'll be fun," Dream said softly, a knowing smile tugging at his lips. "I'll be heading back now. I'll see if I can visit her sometime in the next century or two."

Nether pinched the bridge of his nose. "She's going to drive us all mad. I'll visit her later at some point. For now, I'll go see Fate and calm him down."

Void smirked faintly. "I almost look forward to it. I see you all later."

Chaos's laughter echoed throughout the chamber, bright and unrestrained. "Ah, wait a second, Void. We need to have a little chat about respecting your older sister. I remember you calling me an idiot moments ago. Let's have a long talk, the two of us, shall we?"
