Chapter 23 - CHAPTER 23:

On our way back to the inn, my sister and I decided to directly meet at the auction house, as she wanted to buy a new pair of clothes.

As I had some free time at hand, I went to the inn we stayed at in order to freshen up and change my clothes.

Once I reached the inn, I directly went to the bathroom and took a shower. At the mirror stood a 4-foot-7 boy with green eyes and a streak of red in his brown hair, with a hint of a beard growing.

'It seems that my beard is growing again. I will get rid of it once I get home.' I thought to myself, the inn I stayed at was pretty decent – not expensive and not poor – and the food was... not poisonous, there is that.

There are three floors in this inn; the first is where the dining and reception are, and on each floor there are 3 rooms.

Two normal rooms with one bed, and the last, a two-bed room. We took the second room on the third floor; its number is 5, it's in front of the staircase, and it's a double bed room.

As I finish freshening up and turn around, I see a pile of envelopes on top of my bed. "You have got a tonne of new job requests." I hear Father's voice emanating from a black cat next to the window.

"Is that so? Sister and I met with Daenerys Targaryen; the rumour of her hatching three dragons is true." I calmly stated.

"I see. Does she know of the deal??" Father asked, "No, she doesn't. She doesn't even know who I am." I said slightly annoyed, "I suppose you aren't as well-known as you think you are," Father joked.

"Haha. *sigh* I think we shouldn't help, not yet anyway." I said, cutting right through the chase, "And why is that??" Father asked.

"She is still too young, and she hasn't been taught how to properly manage a kingdom. Let alone seven; that's too much responsibility."

Seeing the logic in my words, Father responds, "That's why she will have her hand. Too much power in the hands of one person is never good; I suggest we give her a city to govern." If the city becomes prosperous, we help; if it deteriorates, then we don't."

Father remained silent for some time before he said, "For as much as I agree with you, we don't have a city to give. We will not intervene for now, but if she manages to acquire an army and ships, we will help." "Fine." I say slightly annoyed.

"We will talk about this later. For now remind Daenerys of our deal and of what we just said." Father added, "Sure, I will tell her." I said as the cat morphed with its own shadow, leaving nothing but a puddle of darkness.

As soon as the cat left, I gave my full attention to the envelopes as I started running through them.

Two letters catch my attention: a job offer from the golden company to help with some wyverns invasion and an invitation from Xaro Xhoan Daxos.

It says:

"Dear Magnes;

You are invited to join the party held at my palace; please bring this letter along with you when you come so as to avoid all troubles.

P.S: The party will begin tomorrow at midday; do not be late."

'*sigh* Must be because of Daenerys. well, we will meet sooner than I thought.' I hummed to myself as I wore a white and green top with white trousers.
