After showing the tourist spots to the lady I bid farewell to her when she seemed satisfied and she gave me a pat on the back to see me off, she was strange but she seemed nice. I didn't even bother to ask for her name because I doubt we'd ever see each other again, but she asked for mine to which I answered honestly. When I got home there were two plates of food waiting for me, strange, they usually cook together, maybe they just want to show their appreciation, but if there was one thing they had in common it was the pesto risotto, mmmmmm.
I scarf down the two plates of food and get ready for bed. Unfortunately I don't get much sleep because of a screaming headache I have throughout the night, it feels like my brain is about to pop my skull open. I nearly broke my teeth gritting them together and I almost passed out a few times. I don't know why but I had a bad feeling about letting myself pass out, eventually the headache fades and morning comes. Time for work, ugh, I got no sleep last night, I wonder what caused the headache, maybe I strained myself being out too long showing that lady the city.
I clean myself up, have breakfast, then head out to go to work. I feel like I'm being followed on my walk to work, I keep looking around but I don't find anyone suspicious. So I just assume I'm being paranoid and go about my day, but the feeling of being watched doesn't go away, I keep getting shivers down my spine.
When I get to work I'm handed a bag with my name on it and the boss says that this was left here for me, I open it to find a nice lunch inside, I'm not one to turn down free food, maybe one of the guys brought it for me. The lunch was good, I couldn't remember any similarities to the cooking of the guys' wives/girlfriends, but I'm not going to look a gift horse in the mouth. The best way to pay these guys back is to work hard and get my sisters through college.
After the day is over and I walk home, I close the door and peak out the window, I swear someone's been watching me all day, I lock the door and windows just in case before showering and going to bed, I slept pretty well that night
