Chapter 179 - The Past: Part 18

When Melissa went to darkness that was calling out her name, "Melissaaaa", the calm voice in the abyss of dark calls her.

"What do you want?", said Melissa. As she is in full alert to her surroundings that she is in a moment. She kept on walking until the shadow that was following her revealed itself, Melissa stands there in shock and disbelief after the person who revealed herself.

"Huh your a young lady aren't ya", said Melissa.

"So what's to be to ya", said the young lady, the darkness gets even darker than the passing time.

"My name is Maladora, the gift of darkness", said Maladora.

"My name is Melissa and am going to teach you some sense to ya, little girl", said Melissa.

The two collided on each other as they were battling who wins at the end of this battle, kicks after kicks and punches after punches, cuts and bleeding pores coming out of their skins, blitters as this was just the tip of the battle.

Meanwhile within the battlefield, Harry went on to catch Kagetsu and end this madness of a war that is at hand. "Kagetsu your reign is over I will end ya and protect this town at will", said Harry.

"Is that so, it's not over until I say so", said Kagetsu.

Harry rushes towards him and fights of the two were trying to protect without any mercy. Kagetsu amused on how Harry has a hunger to kill him, Kagetsu smirks and then grins so hardly than ever, "why are you grinning Kagetsu", said Harry, "you got that hunger I have been looking for, and now it's unfolded before my eyes", said Kagetsu.

The two have a heavy collision with one another.

Back at the two women still fighting each other is where Maladora and Melissa still got energy to keep on going with each other, Melissa bleeds so much but as for Maladora, she bleed but heals faster meaning the hits that she take don't got enough effects on her, until, Melissa uses her technique that she never used for awhile until now. The last time that she used this was when she was 10 and 11, but it been years and Melissa finally found a reason to use it. "Aaah now this is what I call I fight but now I will high the gear", said Melissa.

"What do you mean by that, huh", said Maladora.

"Don't get cocky old lady", said Maladora.

Maladora is sure that this fight is at her hands and that the win is at her side.

Melissa starts up her healing combat to another form. But Maladora is unsure for what Melissa is doing, "hehe this is the best you will ever see", said Melissa.

As Melissa unveils her other powers she shouts out with scream to the nature around her.

"LIFE AND CREATION ", Melissa shouts.

Maladora knew what kind of power is that and what will do but she let that fear get a hold of her and her powers, "well what will that power do to help ya", said Maladora.

"Will just see and find out little one", said Melissa.

She starts charging head on with out hesitation by resurrecting the dead of the underworld this technique is what Melissa didn't want too. "Welcome to

destruction and subjugation of this act", said Melissa.

"Oh is that so", said Maladora.

"I will just have to end ya, without you breathing any words or air", said Maladora.

Maladora charges too, towards to Melissa as a clash of darkness and death. Melissa didn't had the control for a bit, this is cause the power that she just unleashed was not used for awhile meaning that the power has been in slumber for a long period of time.

The two fights were in act, but as the two women still fight, Harry and Kagetsu were still in flow to kill each other and prove that not only power and pride can help. While Tommy and Freddy where still in the fight against Luna, Freddy was bleeding badly and losing stamina slowly but rapidly, "brother let me handle this, you rest for now and I will finish this", said Tommy with a calm tone.

"There is something different about Tommy right now but I can't explain it or let alone prove it", said Freddy within his mind.

Tommy walks towards with different aura that his carrying right now. Tommy charges without hesitation by ending her life, the punch that Tommy laid to Luna was so unreal and fast to even track to her eyes but her reflex helped with an inch of it having a deep cut within the attack. Tommy was in another state that in year will be known as Furry mode.

He was in extreme rage that he didn't realise himself as well, Luna didn't give a fuck and went on for the kill so that she reunited with Kagetsu and win the war that they promised earlier. Luna enters rage mode and this time it's not any normal mode her were completely purple and veins popped up around her eyes as if she was deep anger and want to end him that was only priority. The two went to fighting each no pauses just brutal punches and dodges, both of their bodies were bursting with energy and an intent to kill on another,

He was thinking about her weaknesses. She was quick, agile, but he was stronger, and he knew her tendencies. He anticipated her moves, the way she favored the left, the way she used the environment to her advantage.

His objective was clear: to corner her, to break her spirit, to end this conflict once and for all.

Her body moved on instinct, her mind a whirlwind of strategic calculations.

His fury wasn't a flaw; it was a power, a raw, burning core that pulsed beneath his skin, fueling his every move.

He wasn't merely angry; he was incandescent, propelled by the memories of everything Luna had twisted, everything she had destroyed. He was the hero, not by choice, but by necessity, driven by the insidious tendrils of her malice that had spread too far.

She appeared before him like a wraith, stepping from behind a colossal oak, her lips curved in a taunting, knowing smile. "Still chasing ghosts, Tommy?" Her voice was a silken whisper, laced with poison. "You should have stayed in your crumbling memories. The real world is far too sharp for you".

He didn't respond with words. His fury mode, a shimmering aura of kinetic energy, flared around him. The air crackled, leaves on the ground rustled as if in a sudden gale, and the very ground beneath his feet seemed to vibrate with his suppressed power. This was his advantage, a raw, uncontrolled force that she, for all her calculated evil, could not truly comprehend. Luna laughed, a cold, brittle sound that grated against the forest's natural hum. She moved, not attacking, but weaving, beckoning. Her plan was to exhaust him, to let his own power consume him. Her rage mode was a calculated defense, a strategy of entangling and draining her opponent, forcing them to exhaust themselves against her.

But Tommy wasn't just using brute force. His fury was a weapon of pure, unadulterated will. He pushed through her assault, the raw power of his emotions burning away the tendrils of her rage. He ripped the roots from the ground and sent a shockwave through the sludge, causing it to harden and crack. He was a force of nature, an unstoppable storm, and Luna, for the first time, felt the icy grip of fear.

She let out a shriek of pure frustration and gathered all her rage into a single, devastating attack. The very air around her turned cold, and the sickened trees began to bleed a dark, viscous sap that coalesced into a sharp, crystalline dagger. She launched it at him, a final, desperate attempt to end the fight. Tommy met the attack head-on. He didn't block or dodge. He let his fury flare to a blinding peak, an explosion of light that was so powerful it turned the darkness around them into nothingness. The dagger shattered on impact, and the force of his attack didn't stop. It continued forward, a concentrated beam of pure, incandescent rage that struck Luna directly in the chest.

She was thrown backward, her body a crumpled heap against a thick tree trunk. Her rage mode flickered and died, and with it, the corruption in the forest began to recede. The sickly trees returned to a normal, healthy green. The sludge turned back to dirt. Tommy stood over her, his fury mode fading, his body trembling with exhaustion. He had won. He had defeated her. And as he looked at the defeated woman on the forest floor, he realized that the victory was hollow. The fight had ended, but the true battle for his soul had just begun. But at that moment Tommy realised that he also had tattoos was wrapped some areas of his upper body before it faded away, his expression in his was concerned but amused on unexpected power he had.

Meanwhile, The ground was cracked and dry, and a suffocating gloom hung in the air. Standing in the center of the devastation was Melissa, a radiant figure against the encroaching decay. She closed her eyes, a shimmer of emerald light building around her. With a determined breath, she extended her hands, and the power of life and creation pulsed forth from her palms. Where her energy touched the earth, the dust turned to soil, and from the cracks, tiny green shoots unfurled. Vines of pure energy, glowing with a soft luminescence, stretched outward, weaving a tapestry of hope and renewal over the blighted land.

Just as the first blossoms burst into color, a cackling laugh echoed through the stillness. Maladora emerged from a swirling vortex of shadow, her form a silhouette of pure malice. "Such a pitiful display," she hissed, her voice a grating whisper. She raised a skeletal hand, and her power of decay and destruction manifested as a black, oily miasma that seeped into the ground, instantly withering Melissa's creations and turning the new soil to dust.

The fight began. Melissa sent forth glowing tendrils of living energy, bright as summer sunshine, but Maladora merely opened a yawning, black abyss that swallowed them whole. The void of pure nothingness consumed everything that touched it—light, life, and hope. Maladora then turned the abyss on Melissa herself, the ground around the hero crumbling away into the unmaking void.

But Melissa was more than just a source of life; she was also a master of healing. She mended the earth with a flick of her wrist, closing the fissures Maladora had made and growing thorny, defensive vines to protect the burgeoning life. The very air around her sparkled with mending energy, pushing back the oppressive gloom. Maladora, enraged by Melissa's resistance, channeled her power into a final, cataclysmic strike. The darkness surged, and the abyss grew in size, threatening to consume Melissa and the last remnants of her creations.

Melissa braced herself, her entire being a beacon against the encroaching void. She didn't fight with strength, but with a simple, unyielding truth: life is always stronger than decay. She channeled every ounce of her power, not into an attack, but into a magnificent, explosive burst of pure creation. A blinding wave of brilliant white light, filled with the vibrant colors of every flower and the melody of every living creature, erupted from her. It crashed against Maladora's abyss, pushing back the void and filling the air with the scent of rain and blooming flowers.

The darkness recoiled. The abyss shrieked and shrank, until Maladora herself was forced to retreat, the overwhelming light of life burning at her heels. The land was not fully restored, but a significant portion was now verdant and vibrant, a testament to Melissa's victory. Exhausted but resolute, she stood on her island of green, a symbol of life's eternal struggle against decay.
