Helian Ting nodded weakly.
"Alright."
He had just agreed when—THUD!
A sharp, thick, massive spike shot out again, less than three feet to their side.
Su Ye twirled the black dagger in her hand, unsurprised by the giant spike's reappearance.
Then, she leaped into the air and joined the fight.
To tip the scales in her favor, Su Ye summoned the Golden Crow.
The Golden Crow's enormous black and purple petals bloomed. Four vines shot out—WHOOSH WHOOSH WHOOSH—entangling the giant spikes that were attacking Su Ye from all directions.
The vines wrapped tightly around the spikes, holding them immobile.
With a sharp CRACK, Su Ye's dagger sliced through another giant spike as if it were a crab leg.
Pinned down from multiple sides, the mysterious Demon Beast across from them was finally driven into a frenzy.
The Demon Beast attacked Su Ye with wild abandon. At last, it burst up from beneath the ground.
