The Golden Crow whipped its vines against the ground over and over, a clear expression of its joy at seeing Su Ye.

'Wasn't it in the backyard at home?'

The Golden Crow barked,

Su Ye fell silent.
'Run?'
'Does this thing even have legs? Is that a word a plant should be using?'
After a moment of silence, she decided not to press the issue.
Based on their time together, she knew her contracted plant wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed.
