Looking at the screens, I could see the Ascended coming in a straight line toward Zenos, but I didn't like the Anomalous Creatures joining the fight. They also seemed wary of their backs; something was wrong with them.

I didn't look away. In my hands, I was still holding a golden coin with a hole in the middle. This was a single-use Origin Artifact, cheaper and faster to manufacture, not to mention the more lax usage requirements.
"(I can't use this yet, I must save it for a more opportune moment.)" (me)
