Chapter 306 - Powers of the Souls 1: Draxus Heimdal

Just as Remuel was about to bring Berkeley for the trip on getting the defenses set up for most countries, Serkyrio appeared in the room searching for Remuel.

"Remuel, I need you and Arlesk in the meeting room. Berkeley, I leave the artillery defenses to you. Contact Harold every time you need to transfer." With such a clear declaration, Remuel and Berkeley could only look at each other for a moment. After a short while, they acknowledge Serkyrio's decision and split off.

Remuel followed Serkyrio and led him to one of the meeting rooms. Arlesk was already waiting at the front of the door.

"You've made it Arlesk? Good." Serkyrio slowly opened the meeting room and allowed the two to enter.

After taking their seats at the square table, everything became completely sealed off.

"Serkyrio, I fail to see the necessity for this kind of sealing. Unless..." Remuel tried to quickly reason with Serkyrio, wanting to know why everything had to be completely sealed off as the barrier covered the entire room. "Yes, this is about Draxus. Or rather, the [Prime Existence] itself."

Remuel and Arlesk quickly understood. This is pretty much something that requires information control.

"Are we finally getting more clearance for his abilities? Or is it because you're expecting us to face the other souls from now?" Arlesk somewhat felt nervous since this was somewhat an expected result for him.

"Yes, considering that each soul has pretty much required interference. I need to give a bit of context on the extent of their abilities." The whiteboard behind Serkyrio started drawing a simple graph of a wheel. Each ability of the [Prime Existence] was displayed in a hierarchy, except the fact that the hierarchy was a wheel instead of a standard one.

"Let's recap the current souls for a moment. Firstly, we have Draxus, who culminates true understanding of Concept and Theory."

The whiteboard quickly erased the basic contents of the hierarchy and quickly added some contents, mostly each important value about Draxus' innate ability.

"Firstly we can pretty much understand Concept Manipulation. It basically asks the [Something] of the Universe. This includes, [Time], [Space], [Life], [Death], [Infinity], [Consistency], [Imaginary], and the like. However, from the current level of Draxus, we could only see theoretical frameworks of how concepts work. Draxus is already well aware of this and hasn't used the other side of [Theory] yet aside from a battle against [Unknown]." Serkyrio briefly explained the initial description of Draxus' ability, getting a bit into the context of his power. "It's the fight where [Unknown] used invisible walls right?" Arlesk quickly remembered the previous report. "Yes, Audrey as well, has become capable of this under Draxus' tutelage. What they did was simply change the theory behind [Unknown]'s wall. [Theory] asks why concepts behave the way they function. So when things like your [Deal with the Devil] Remuel, he can pretty much easily change the [Price]." "Absolutely disgusting to be honest. He could also just instantly change the [Theory] behind my fog abilities and they'd function completely differently." Remuel somewhat complained on what Draxus could simply do. "[All concepts require theoretical baseline] and [All theories require a concept to exist]. That factor alone allows Draxus to completely change, dismantle, and repurpose any system he could. In fact, even my ability over [Fate] is among them." Remuel quickly perks up for a bit. "Oh right, he could just tamper that principle, why doesn't he?" "So [Dominion] doesn't know obviously. It was safe for him to use it on Harold's [Simulations] since that by itself is a trapping enclosure and entirely different subworlds." Arlesk placed his elbows on the table and leaned his chin on his hands. "Heh? To be fair the ability to distort the domains combined with the usurped souls are quite annoying to handle. Sure you could handle it to some extent Serkyrio but eventually Draxus will be going face to face with him." "Indeed, Harold and I have been helping him refine all that for quite a long time. So Draxus would be able to collapse any ability soon, just like how he has collapsed Josh one time."

Remuel and Arlesk smiled at the implication.

"[End] huh? To be fair, it can be interacted with pretty easily. I don't have to pay that much of a [Price] to deny the [End]. Arlesk can just convert it from the source, Draxus doesn't even have to use [Theory], he just uses the [Boundary]. And you Serkyrio..." "I don't get affected at all. Considering that his ability will never reach me, my [Fate] doesn't end in his hands after all." Remuel and Arlesk narrowed their eyes instantly. "So you're also telling us that the end of your [Fate] will happen at some point?" "Of course, both of yours too, and Draxus."

The three realized they have shifted away for a bit and moved back in topic.

"Anyways, let's get back on topic. Draxus also still have the ability to define every ability without issue. At some point we'll have him fight against the ones from the [Depths] and understand the theories behind their abilities. Just like how he fully understands about half of the [Council] as of now, their 2nd in command included." Arlesk slightly grimaced at the thought. "Even for me, facing them the first time is rough. Even if I have gained information about all of them and their abilities mid-fight, it was still pretty insane to adapt to it." "Well, you don't have Draxus' processing ability for starters, and you barely get close enough when you use the [Synthetic Divinity] right? Nobody is close enough on contesting Draxus' processing ability." "Indeed, not even I, or Harold could reach him in that regard."

They continued for a while more before starting to wrap up their conversation about Draxus Heimdal.

"Alright, now that we've just about to wrap up the limits of Draxus' abilities, we can take a quick break for the day before we continue, but what do you both think?" Serkyrio took the liberty of asking both of them. "Nah, I'm good. Rather, are we starting with Draxus and then going back down from the bottom or we're going from top to bottom?" "Draxus is pretty much what we know so far so it's best to start with him as a benchmark." With a quick reply to Remuel's question, they start to fully wrap up Draxus's ability as a whole.

"Now, let's actually start from the bottom with the main topic. Beginning with the Liam Belial, or what we call Soul of Nobility."

Serkyrio, Remuel, and Arlesk prepared themselves for the very long rabbit hole that they're going to enter. Remuel and Arlesk specifically felt more tension as they both know that Serkyrio is easily implying on how Draxus will become a bit of an issue later on if left unchecked. If any of the souls will awaken then it may cause catastrophic damage to the entire world if allowed to rampage for too long. Worse, the two quickly understood that Draxus may end up rampaging himself.
