The Divinity landed a distance away in the sand, having not been fast enough to defend himself against the attack coming from Battlesage. He hadn't even considered the fact that Battlesage might be that strong. To him, the old man had been a mere Immortal, after all.
And yet, the pain on his cheek told him a different truth.
The man stood up slowly, his eyes narrowing at the old man.
"Who are you?" he asked.
Battlesage shook his hand a little. "The name is Battlesage. Pleased to meet you."
The Divinity stared blankly for a moment. "Your cultivation base is far too weak, and yet I see no lie in it. How are you doing this?"
"Doing what?" Battlesage asked. "I'm doing nothing."
The Divinity quickly realized that a Sentinel wouldn't have been able to challenge someone else like this old man just had. That meant this old man was indeed just a regular person.
What did that mean then? Was he really just an Immortal cultivator?
