Alex and Bladedance left the Deathly Poison Sect a while later after making no progress at all. They had managed to figure out that Somberskull was not who they were looking for, so that was another name crossed off their list, leaving behind four more possible names.
However, after chatting with the old man, he might have to add a fifth name to the list now. A name he wasn't even sure existed at all.
"That was similar to my memories," Alex said to Bladedance on the carriage ride back. "He most likely remembers there being 13 of them but has forgotten about one of them entirely."
"Most likely," Bladedance said. "I'm curious to know how it has happened. If this is truly the case of this Death Sage erasing himself from the memories of others, then I can't even tell how we could ever find out about him. What if we learn about him and get close, but when we finally confront him, he gets rid of our memories of him again?"
