Alex met with Bladedance the next day and headed out of the Sky God's palace along with her.
Unlike her usual self, Bladedance wore a red robe that could be considered a bit too feminine for her. As a fighter, her clothes tended to be simple, with not much embroidery at all.
And yet, today she wore something that Alex could only ever imagine someone like Shumi wearing.
"Is there a reason for the way you're dressed, master?" Alex asked after a while, unable to bear the mystery.
Bladedance had a veil before her face, so Alex couldn't even see any expression on her face when he asked that question. "It's merely a precautionary measure to conceal my identity," she said. "We can't give Somberskull the slightest hint that I may have come along with you, so I need to dress in a way he could never expect me to."
Alex raised an eyebrow. "That's… not a bad idea. Does it also hide your aura? I'm not feeling anything at all."
"I have a necklace for that," Bladedance said.
