"Well, that is all I wanted to talk to you about," the Divination God said as he stood up. "I needed you to know why it was that you were sent to Hell. At the same time, I needed you to know that I was responsible for it."
"Why?" Alex asked. "You could have let me believe that it was Starsight that was at fault."
"Starsight has a lot of faults that already belong to her. But this one belongs to me, and I must take responsibility for it and apologize," the Divination God said. "Which I have now done."
Alex held off from letting his facial expression change just then.
'That was supposed to be an apology?'
Alas, the gods were quite weird, so he let it be.
"I shall be leaving now. I will remain in the Sky God's palace for some time yet, so we shall meet from time to time," the Divination God said as he slowly walked away.
Alex stood up and bowed, watching the man leave.
The Divination God had just reached the door when he stopped and turned around, looking back at Alex.
