Bladedance seemed to grow quite curious upon hearing that. She glanced at Alex briefly, wondering what sort of father could sire a child as talented as him.
"What is going on with his father's body?" she asked.
"His father was born with a physical condition known as Inverted Meridians. His meridians have a peculiarity such that they make it incredibly difficult for him to draw Qi into his dantian, making it pretty much impossible for him to cultivate in any meaningful way."
Bladedance's eyes narrowed. "I've never heard of such a thing as Inverted Meridians," she said. "So he's not as talented at cultivating?"
"Based on his physique, he might as well be the worst cultivator you have ever seen. If others were given the same opportunities he was given, it wouldn't be surprising to see them on their way to transcending their origins right now. And yet, his father is still in the Saint realm—and that too because he has been working very hard at cultivation."
