Alex knew very well that he was getting ahead of himself with his current line of thought, and that the pool would likely continue to reveal its truth to him so long as he was patient. He had waited for this long, so a little longer wasn't going to hurt.
Still, a part of him couldn't help but wonder if this was really it. If the thing he had been doing all this time was all that was really needed to help a beast evolve. A pure bloodline was certainly one such requirement, which he was more or less ready to prepare for Pearl now.
He continued his surveillance on the blood inside the pool and carefully watched as the bloodline within it was flooding into the two beasts.
'This isn't a technique the beasts are using,' Alex thought. 'So how is this happening? How is the blood moving all on its own?'
