Steelmind had just arrived in space when he heard someone speak to him. He turned around to find the Death Sage hurrying on his tail, his words reaching his mind.
Steelmind paused for a second, surprised that the sage had managed to keep up with him at all. However, when he noticed the blackened veins on the other person, he knew that the sage had been affected by the corruption as well.
It was waning away from the sage, unlike him, since the sage hadn't been holding onto the sword like he did, constantly corrupted.
The sage said something to him, prompting Steelmind to explain what he was doing.
"The sword is strong but malevolent. It is dangerous to just keep around, let alone have someone use it. We must destroy it," he said. "I must destroy it. I'm taking it to the sun with me."
The sage said something before rushing toward Steelmind. Steelmind wondered if the sage was still corrupted and fought back. The crystal hammer appeared in his hand, delivering a swing at the sage.
