Qing Lainie strutted into the room in her tall figure. Her blue scales glimmered in the indoor light with a metallic sheen. She stopped halfway into the room and looked at the three there, her eyes focusing on Pearl more than anyone else.
"Grandmother!" Pearl said in a voice that was barely more than a whisper.
Lainie's eyes narrowed slightly. "So you know who I am," she said. "This will be easy then. What is your name?"
Pearl quickly bowed. "I am Qing Shouchuang, Grandmother," he said.
Her eyes remained fixed on Pearl for a long moment, as if trying to search for something. "How are you even my grandson?" she asked. "You are not even in the least bit an Azure Dragon."
Pearl looked ashamed, but he explained what had happened that caused him to lose the Bloodline.
Lainie's eyes moved toward Bai Jingshen after hearing what Pearl had said. "You brought me the news of my son's death, but you never mentioned him having a child."
