"I've had some time to think of things," Bai Jingshen said. "Especially in regards to how Pearl could regain his other bloodline. I wanted to wait until I crossed out this option before I brought up the other ones."
Alex raised his eyebrows. "So you do have other ideas," he said.
Bai Jingshen nodded. "Let's see if we can ask for the Azure Dragons to sell off their blood first. Perhaps we won't have to do anything else."
Pearl looked up at his great-grandfather. "Will just their blood work?" he asked. "Or will I need their blood essence?"
Bai Jingshen grimaced a little. "It would be much better if we could get their Blood Essence, but we're not going to get those even if we gave everything within ourselves to servitude. The Four Families have too much pride in their bloodline to give you their Blood Essence."
Alex frowned. "Then the blood alone wouldn't be as helpful, would it?" he asked.
