Pearl spent some time on the outside, going around the place to see everything. However, the desolate landscape of Hell wasn't a place he wanted to be in forever. So, he decided to return to Alex's Soul Space. At least there, he could cultivate again.
The older Alex and Emily had decided to do just that long ago.
He arrived at the room where Alex trained and waited in the corner. Alex was fully focused on the pendulum in front of him, so he didn't want to distract him right away.
As he waited, someone else arrived at the room.
The old man who was the Grand Elder of the sect walked in with Whisker standing on his shoulders.
Pearl quickly bowed toward the old man. Pearl hadn't spent enough time with the man, but he knew enough to be respectful.
"Is he cultivating?" the old man asked.
"Learning a Dao," Pearl answered.
"Why did he call me then?" the old man asked.
"He'll be done soon," Whisker answered. The three sat down quietly and waited.
