"Huh?"
More than a few gods responded in kind.
"Why is he the only one guaranteed to go?" the Storm God asked.
"He? An Immortal?" the Blood God added.
Plenty of the other gods whispered among themselves.
"Let me explain," the Sky God said. "Currently, the Demons have their Moon Goddess. She is very much real and is the one behind the invitation. As such, we will need our Sun God to go along. Unfortunately, I think no one will be able to talk to her as her equal if we do not do so."
"Isn't she just another Half-God? We will talk to her. If she doesn't think we're her equal, then we can show her our power," the Storm God said proudly.
"You can try if you can go past the Seven Shades," the Sky God said. "I believe they all worship her, so they should be there to protect her."
"The Seven Shades?" the Forest God asked with a raised eyebrow. "All seven of them?"
"I would assume so," the Sky God said.
