He threw two more storage relics at them. They quickly checked them for a moment. I couldn't see what was inside, but their eyes widened, and they nodded.
Both were pleased.
"Very well."
"Fine."
Both agreed in the end.
Whatever was inside those cubes was as valuable as what he gave to me.
"It is a deal then. Is your alliance based on any sort of vow? Perhaps a divine vow? Is it a contract made out of Venerable Treasures? Are you blood bound or something?" Augustus asked.
"No, none of that," the Ice Queen said. "Mostly just... trust."
"Yeah," said Belle. "And also circumstances... such as how this idiot destroyed my inheritance."
