Jake's body rapidly transformed, reacting to any threat. When another burly, muscular mutant tried to strike him from behind, the back of his body grew large bony armor with several plates, protecting him from the damage by dispersing the kinetic force outward as steam was released from orifices.
His body was more than just human. Jake was a "perfected form" of Ivan's creation, and right now, his body had only become stronger and tougher with the blessings stacked on him.
"HAH!"
He leaped into midair, slashing the beast's head and then the rest of its body with a single swing of his giant claws, tearing the creature into two halves.
SLAAASH!
"Ah!"
He was shocked by his strength. Back then, he wouldn't have been able to do this much damage without creating a larger mutation in his arms.
But now, that wasn't even necessary.
