Chapter 4 - Weekday

It's been a few weeks now. Since the day I learned of the prophecy. The elders agreed to my grandfather's plan to send me to Hogwarts. And then all my training ideas went to waste. You see, they know better how the training should go.

It was summer, the school at Ward Hall was closed, and I was assigned private tutors who were constantly going into all the details. I'm not dressed right. Your answer doesn't quite reveal the meaning and purpose of the spell or the magic plant. In general, I became an object deprived of free time. My former classmates, although not often, came to see me before this fateful day, now they have stopped coming at all. I once asked my grandfather about it. And he told me that only a few people in the family knew about the prophecy. Both adults and children were told that Alex would go to Hogwarts to try to re-establish relations with magical Britain. And you do not need to be distracted from additional training.

All the residents of Ward Hall accepted this decision without question, because the conflict occurred several decades ago, and it was time to declare a truce. I also somehow managed to find a copy of the Daily Prophet from one of my teachers, which said that the Ministry of Magicians and the Ward family were planning to negotiate the Ward family's return to the political arena. There was also a comment from the headmaster of Hogwarts and part-time head wizard Dumbledore, who said that he fully supports these negotiations and is ready to accept young wizards and witches to Hogwarts for any year of study without any questions. Although it would be correct to say that Hogwarts has never refused to accept students from the Ward family. But then, in 42, the idea of sending children to Hogwarts to study was rejected by the council of elders themselves, in order to prevent harmful influence on children and protect family secrets from detractors.

August 1991 came.

Alex, as always, woke up and went to the bathroom. After making all the necessary preparations, he warmed up the breakfast with a special amulet. Having finished his breakfast quickly, he decided to read a little when a paper weather plane flew in through the open window. Out of habit, Alex reached out, grabbed it, quickly unfolded it, and read it, as he had done dozens of times over the summer.

"Um, the letter from the school has already arrived. And he needs to go to Diagon Alley. Hmm, I wonder why I can't get the necessary things from the warehouse, there's probably everything there. Alex thought about it for a while and came to the conclusion that this was probably my grandfather's plan to introduce me to society. And my escort, one Green Ward , is a friend of my father's. "Hmm, Mom never mentioned it. Alex felt sad at the thought of his mother, who had been away on business in America since mid-May.

She was a Muggle-born girl named Angelica Philby. She met Alex's father, and they got married soon after, and I was born a year later, or so my mother told me, although she didn't like to think of him. Putting aside my oppressive thoughts, I went to the designated place where I was supposed to meet my escort. It was already light enough to meet passers-by who were wizards or squibs going about their business. Some passersby recognized me and greeted me. I was wished good luck and success in my studies at Hogwarts. When I arrived at the designated transport area on the outskirts of the village, I noticed a short man in his forties. Apparently noticing my attention, he shook his head and beckoned me over.

- Hi, Alex. My name is Green Ward. I will accompany you. He said with a warm smile, " Hello, Mr. Green. I am very grateful for your help. Alex said, bowing slightly. "Don't be so formal. I'm not your supervisor, I'm your consultant. After all, your father and I worked together and became good friends. Heh-heh, so let's go, or we'll end up in queues at the stores. Green sounded a little embarrassed. Obviously, he didn't want to continue talking about his father. Alex understood immediately, so he decided not to ask for details.

My mother, grandfather, and others said very little about my father, and always usually turned the conversation in a different direction. Green and I went to one of the bowls, took a handful of the volatile powder, and went to one of the fireplaces that stood in a semicircle in the square. After letting me use the fireplace first, Alex stepped inside and took a deep breath."Diagon Alley," and then the world spun around him and went dark for a second. Before he could focus on this darkness, he was already in the square in Diagon Alley. Wizards and witches moved quickly and erratically through it, and wizards sometimes appeared from the side fireplaces. As he took a few steps forward so as not to disturb Alex, he noticed Mr. Green coming out of the same fireplace as before. Alex just nodded at him. They walked a little way down the street and entered the shop of Twilfit and Tutting. There were a few clients inside, two or three, followed by consultants who ran around showing them and recommending certain things.

"Welcome to the Twilfit and Tatting clothing store on Diagon Alley. the man, who had obviously noticed the new customers and hurried over to them, said,

" Hello, we'd like to buy some robes for Hogwarts."

" Come with me and I'll show you our best robes for young wizards." The salesman didn't stop praising the clothes in the store when they went to the cloakroom with the robes. And he did it so aggressively that Alex wanted to say a few kind words to him, but he restrained himself. We quickly selected a robe made of acromantula silk and took measurements.

We were informed that the mantle will be ready in 2 hours. Alex and Green sighed heavily as they left the store. We are preparing for a new battle with the eternal enemy of man. Shopping trip.
