"So we're here," I said as June got down from the bike.
"Wow, I am totally in love with the exterior!" she exclaimed, running to open the front door—only to realize it was locked. I had started locking the front door ever since what happened with Maia.
"Sorry, it's locked. Catch," I said and threw her a key.
She caught it with surprising ease, even though she was a good distance away. I hadn't pictured her as the sporty type.
"What?" she said, noticing my stare.
"Nothing. It's just… the way you caught that," I said, walking up to the door as she wiggled the key in the lock.
"Yeah, what about it?" she asked, taking a quick glance at me before stepping inside.
"You're just really good at it. I didn't take you for a sporty person," I said, hoping she wouldn't take offense.
"I have four things to say right now," she said, grinning widely.
"Yeah? What's that?" I asked, confused.
