"What is this weird skill? It is not a variation of any skill I know."
As someone goes up in abilities, variations or additions may appear. So instead of one that passively boost ones speed, a B rank ability could have that, and a skill that gives a short burst in speed. Usually abilities fall into these categories: Attributes related, Elemental, summoning, transformation, and certain production; as in blacksmithing or alchemy. Summoning and production are rare so people are usually attribute, transforming or elemental. Another thing is that some skills can be passive or active.
'This seems like a production ability, but it is obviously not blacksmithing or potion making.'
The information given by the Awakening machine are extremely accurate, it's even able to find disabilities in hunters. Disabilities are certain things in hunters that gives them a disadvantage. It can easily make a S rank be worth the same as an A rank. It is usually reduced effectiveness of a stat or things like skill costing more energy. So the only unique thing about Noah is mostly his ability, Market.
Noah slowly walked home and open his door to find food on the table along with a note.

Noah lives with his older sister. After Noah got fired for protecting a female coworker from a manager, he couldn't get a job because of the manager's connections. His sister, who is a D rank hunter, has to support him now and Noah was hoping to awaken to help repay her.
Noah walked into the bathroom to clean up and he looked at himself in the mirror. He has black hair, tan colored skin, with light brown eyes. His face was pretty ordinary looking to say the least. After showering he went and had his lunch that his sister made.
'Alright, let try out this skill.'
Noah got up and walked into the back yard.

After that he went around the yard trying to activate his ability.

'Power? So is it mana?'
"Wait it is a portal, so maybe it needs world energy?"
In this world portal appears due to world energy clumping together for an extended period of time. Hunters are just people who are in a sense refined by the world energy to reveal their true power.
After that he tried his other skill, Trade, because Profit is a passive skill.
"Trade"

"hmm... guess I got to find out how to open the merchant portal," Noah mumbles, "Well, since I am a hunter, I can kind of go into portals. There I can test if I need to be in a portal to activate it."
Noah walked inside and logged into the Hunter website to search for any openings for a G rank Porter. Noah can't join as a hunter since he is not F rank or higher, so his only choice is to be a porter, someone who holds all of the luggage and do menial task for the hunters. It can be sorta nice or horrendous depending on the hunters in the group.
After he found a job that was schedule for tomorrow in the morning, Noah spent the rest of the day preparing by going out to buy a hunter dagger, medical supplies, and food. While walking he walked into areas with no people to test if he can place his portal. Sadly, he got the same message as before.
Once he collected everything, Noah went home, searched for information on the portal he was going to while trying to not let the fact that all the money he used came from his sister bug him.
"Please ability, at least allow me to be able to sustain myself."
Once he was prepared, he watched TV and slept.
