Within a few seconds, it had become a battle of staring between Sofia and Joey's father. No one blinked an eye nor wavered their gaze.
On the side, Joey felt tense and secretly look at Stephen. At this point, he does not know what to speak.
Only after a while did Joey's father lowered his gaze and looked away. He could not help but release a long sigh.
'Unexpectedly, this girl looks very convincing,' the man mentally commented while his line of vision went to the basketball players in his team.

He could not explain why, but, for some strange reason, Joey's father actually believed what Sofia had just said. His expression unknowingly softened.
