Danny carefully placed another plate and utensils across Sofia for Jing Jing. He then gestured a respectful bow to them before walking back to the counter table and started slicing tomatoes.
"Thank you, Danny!" Jing Jing expressed with a surprised expression on her face. But soon, she also took her spoon and put some portion of food on her plate.
"You're welcome, Ms. Jing Jing," Danny answered while arranging all the ingredients that he had chopped.
The chopping and click-clacking sound from the sink disappeared and other staff exited the kitchen area, carrying the clean plates and glasses. Only the three of them left, minding their own business.
Half an hour later, Sofia finished her food. She silently gazed at Jing Jing and noticed that the lady was casually eating a small portion of food from time to time while sorting the list of their customers' reservations. 'Perhaps, she was eating out of courtesy to Danny's gesture?' Sofia smiled and wiped the side of her mouth.
