On the hospital bed, the delicately-carved little boy was slowly opening his distinctly black and white eyes. His gaze was initially confused, but it soon brightened, clearly reflecting the silhouette of Luo Mengmeng.
"Mommy?"
He blinked, calling out in a babyish voice.
Although he had spent most of the past three years in a comatose sleep, it hadn't hindered his intellectual development.
Hearing his call of "Mommy," Mengmeng's heart instantly melted, and she quickly responded, "Yes, I'm mommy."
Xiaobao immediately curved his thin lips into a sweet smile and called out again, "Mommy, you are so beautiful."
"Xiaobao is very handsome too," Luo Mengmeng said while she lifted him off the hospital bed.
He had taken a new medication, and now he could basically be like any normal child, so he didn't have to lie in bed all the time like before.
"You've worked hard, mommy." As soon as Mengmeng set him down on the ground, Xiaobao pouted his lips and planted a big kiss on her cheek.
