He approach. Curious where the projection is coming from. His eyes wander to the dark corridors that resemble to a dark apartment building. He did not found the source. His hand ran down to the cool metal surface of the elevator. At his touch the projection did not broke a section. It was still there. Covered by his hand.
Which means the projection must have come from the elevator itself. Not from any projection somewhere in the hall. Well, isn't this new? Lucien thought.
At the left a section retracts back. A metal click and a scanner came out.
"What number?" The voice rang out from the scanner. A robotic program voice of a woman.
"Uhhh.... Two?"
"Key number" the voice corrected. He check his own key. Those guys stashed their keys inside this baggy pouch. He figured the leader has it. Sam wasn't wrong.
He fetch his own key and said out loud. "One hundred."
The scanner scan him. The infrared green light trace him from the tip of his shaggy hair to the bottom of his shoes.
