The musings of an otherlander who had gone from one war-torn homeland to another war-torn country.
War is hell.
These words were once uttered by a famous war hero during the throes of a civil war that almost destroyed his homeland.
However, to some, war was a place for glory, honor, and fortune.
Personally, I lean towards the former...but I also know that it can be a necessity in some cases.
Some resources can only be acquired through bloodshed, some changes can only be enacted once violence gets involved.
And a whole mess of people who shouldn't be in charge of the world, only seem to die when war is involved.
Let it be known that I am no pacifist, but I also can't seem to find a war that is worth a damn or cause that is justified when it comes to larger nations waging war.
The only wars that I seem to find some real meaning to them, is those of the tribal and smaller scale variety. But even then, I do not know if their wars are even worth damn.
