The kaijin I have brought forth into this reality are modeled after the demons that once served the Great King Solomon.
I figured that their looks were merely similar to this old tale, well my interpretation of them anyways, but that was just the tip of the iceberg.
Their abilities, which were initially just aether arts stored in the library, have begun to change and be replaced to match their demonic namesakes.
Or to be more precise, they've begun to invent arts that better align with their namesakes.
Then again, perhaps they are the actual demons themselves and are merely regaining their true power?
I cannot say for certain. All I know is that whatever they are, whatever they did, it wasn't the curators that informed me of this fundamental change. It was the archive itself.
And to make things more unsettling…I don't know why this is happening in the first place.
