The City Lord and his fellow warriors were debating between themselves whether they should go down the pit entirely, stop at its perimeter, or linger in the air until they could figure out the best course of action.
Clearly, someone was responsible for this destruction. However, the question remained whether or not the responsible party was somebody that they could reasonably bring to heel and punish appropriately.
Disciples were warriors that had been bestowed [Law], and the only type of people who would bestow [Law] freely were usually Aether Demigods or powerful Aether Saints. In other words, the type of people who were usually on everyone's "Do not fuck with" list.
