Lightning struck above the skies. For someone else, they might have been scared and stayed indoors.
'Right now, I was wondering what it would be like to be struck by lightning. Would it kill me in an instant? Would I survive? What happens if I get struck? Would I really be affected by it?'
They've been walking for what felt like an eternity and Szeina could already feel the cold slowly seeping through her skin. She removed the coat covering her body and folded it enough to hold the wet outer layer.
The twins took over the lead while Szeina lagged behind. Neyandro took the chance to walk beside her, giving her a gentle nudge on the shoulder.
"Hey," Szeina glanced at him. "Are you mad at me?"
She shook her head.
"No," Szeina took a deep breath. "I wasn't mad at you. It's just, I feel like no one was taking me seriously. A witch abducted Yvann. I expected at least for someone to care. I'm a little disappointed that everyone else shut it down and prohibited me from going."
