As Zhong Li nervously fidgeted in his chair, he couldn't help but wonder why Wang Fang had called him into her office so suddenly.
He had been anticipating the end of Shu Xian's break, hoping to catch a glimpse of her as she passed by the library counter.
Now, he was filled with anxiety, wondering what could be so important that Wang Fang needed to see him immediately.
"So… I was wondering if we could reshelve the books? What do you think?"
"Erm… alright. By same genres still, right?"
"Yes. And, uh… also typing in our system the abstracts of new theses. Do that as well, please."
"Yes… I was already doing so this morning before Zhang Ren and Shu Xian's break."
"Alright… please also do… this, and that…"
As she continued to talk about library duties, Zhong Li couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. He had been working in the library for months, and knew his responsibilities inside and out. He wondered why she was wasting his time with small talk.
