Jiang Nuan was on the verge of tears, and the man sitting upright in the chair finally made a move, bending over to lift his pant leg, revealing his left leg beneath it.
"If you want to look, do it now. Once I finish eating, I'll change my mind."
Jiang Nuan dropped her chopsticks, stood up, took a deep breath, and walked over. As soon as she approached, she noticed a scar winding down from the inside of his thigh.
The scar had been there for quite some time, a worm-like raised wound. Upon closer inspection, you could see the fine lines of scabbing where the surrounding skin had torn, as well as the traces of surgical stitches.
She covered her mouth, silently breaking down, squatting down and gently touching the extensive wound with her trembling fingertip. When she raised her head, her eyes were already wet, "Does it hurt?"
