Lemon received a call from an unknown number just as she was packing up to go to court. Seeing the call, her clear eyes blinked as she told the intern lawyer, "Hold on, I'm taking a call. Wait for me outside."
"Okay, Sister Lemon."
The intern lawyer helped close the door for her on the way out.
Only then did she put her things down, walked to the window, and put her phone to her ear, "Hello."
She originally thought it was another defendant from a case trying to threaten her, but to her surprise, the man's voice on the other end was unexpectedly young.
"Lemon?"
And surprisingly pleasant!
Lemon froze for a moment, her heart racing like a fangirl's for two seconds before forcing herself to calm down. To cover her embarrassment, she cleared her throat, "Uh, yes, that's me. Who is this?"
In the past, when she encountered such suspicious anonymous calls, her tone was never this gentle. She would start cursing the caller's ancestors to the eighteenth generation.
