It has been a week since Elijah last saw, heard from, or heard about Sadie. The last time was when he witnessed her confront two of Elon Banks' death squad that the man sent to threaten Sadie.
Though the death squad didn't do anything to threaten or scare off Sadie, their mere presence and the knowledge that they were from Elon Banks' death squad was supposed to threaten Sadie and in the process, Elijah as well.
But that didn't turn out like it was supposed to. Their presence doesn't affect Sadie. The knowledge that they were from Elon Banks' death squad didn't scare off Sadie.
But to Elijah, it did.
It may not seem like it but there was a small part of Elijah that was pissed because of the presence of the death squad around Sadie.
No. It didn't threaten him. It didn't scare him. It pisses him off. He doesn't like the fact that they were always around Sadie. A small part of it was because they were dangerous but most parts of it were just because he doesn't like them.
