All over Westeros news of the iron islands being conquered by an unknown force from the west spread like wildfire.
Tales of how unknown men from the west massacred scores of iron born men leaving only elderly men,women and boys under 17 alive.
The rest of the pirates were put to the sword or hanged.

"Lord Varys haven't you heard any news from the iron islands so far ?" Questioned Cersei
" your grace it seems the islands are completely isolated nothing gets in or out my little birds are unable to get information back to the mainland,the only news I got are from merchants coming from sea guard who managed to escape the blockade around the islands , and they tell grave news of an army and fleet larger than any kingdom can gather he says over 200,000 men and over a thousand ships" replied the bald eunuch
"Impossible" groaned out grandmaster pycelle in surprise
Almost every one in the small council started looking pale.
" those are only rumors which are yet to be proven lord varys " Cersei spat out.
"My apologies your grace I'll improve efforts in getting more information from the iron islands" said Varys

" You'd better Cersei said venomously as shifted her attention to pycelle ,Grandmaster are there any records of any lands to the west of Westeros ?"
" no your grace over the years I've been at the citadel there were no maps or records of any lands to the west of Westeros "said pycelle his elderly tone.
"Well it seems that you and the citadel were proven wrong " said Cersei
"I'll send word to the citadel inquiring about these new invaders from the west and recheck my sources "said pycelle
" lovely sister it's best if we send news to father informing him of this new development Tyrion said sarcastically."
Cersei hissed her teeth as she heard Tyrion speak
" My lady even though the iron born were never liked I think we can send an emissary towards these new invaders promising them gold in exchange for their help in dealing with Robb stark and his bunch of barbarians" said Baelish With a smirk on his face , he knew that the queen thought she was smart and cunning but he knew otherwise
"Make sure you see that it's done lord Baelish" as she got up out of her chair followed by her guards out of the small council meeting room.

"What!, the iron islands was invaded by unknown men from the east exclaimed Tywin as his brother Kevin read the message sent by Tyrion who was serving as acting hand of the king .
"That's what it says brother"said kevan
"This was unexpected, where did these men even come from they may attack the westerlands if there invading Westeros, kevan I'm sending you back to casterly rock gather more bannermen in case these new men decide to attack but also send an emissary to to inquire about these men."
" it will be done brother " said kevan
At Riverrun...

"We need to continue pushing in the westerlands and draw Tywin from his fortified position said lord umber "
"I will not give Joffrey and Cersei reason to abuse my sister as we attack their homeland ." Said Robb
greatjon was bout to retort but a stark guard burst in the meeting room interrupting them ,
"Forgive me your grace but scouts report over 10000 men are approaching riverrun from the west "
Robb hearing the news stood up quickly out of the chair "prepare the men "said robb as everyone scrambled out of the main hall, Hurrying to assemble their men as quickly as possible .
30 minutes later thousands of north men could be seen organized in lines awaiting the approaching army of men.
Bwooooom !a large horn could be heard in the distance as well as thousands of marching footsteps approaching riverrun in unison .
"Army halt "shouted the commander as the the soldiers came to a immediate stop
Robb stark staring at the army in front of him with banners he never seen before or heard of in his life was shocked.
The soldiers carried long pikes with a narrow metal on the end ,it was longer than any pike he'd ever seen
And the army was so disciplined and organized he thought of the lockstep legions the maester would teach him about when he was younger .
"My king a white flag "said greatjon as he brought Robb out of his stupor
10 Men in scaled armor on horses were approaching ,
One at the front which was seemingly in his forties and had on a helmet with a black plume running though the middle of it , "that's definitely there leader " muttered robb
They came 6 meters away from robbs company then stopped .
"Greetings I am Tiberius Pluto commander of the 7th legion of the first vanguard forces of the Roman Empire " said the commander introducing himself to robb stark
Robb reciprocated and answered introduced himself and the other lords then questioned
" Where is this Roman Empire you speak of and why is your army within my new territory"said robb
"It is to the west of Westeros in the sunset sea the continent of Romanos where the great emperor built his empire and he has sent me here to assist you in defending against the Lannister army until he master arrives on the mainland"
Robb was surprised at the turn of events these unknown soldiers from nowhere came and just offered him help, he was a bit skeptical about this and some of his banner men faces were surprised as well.
" I can't say that I am grateful for your assistance but why should I trust an army that just came out of nowhere" said robb stark thinking about how theon betrayed him and captured winterfell.
" The emperor has been watching you for a while king Robb he wishes to make an alliance with honorable people and you are one of the most honorable persons in Westeros " commented Pluto
"And when can I meet this emperor?" Robb asked.
" the emperor will arrive in a month but to show that his intentions are true he sent extra food and swords and plate mail armor forged by the best smiths in Romanos ".
The banner men of Robb begun to brighten up after hearing this.
"Then we'll prepare a spot for you to make camp ."
And so it continued robb welcomed his new allies increasing his army to 30 thousand from the previous 20 thousand .
And in a day the romans impressed the North and river men by building a wooden fort around their camp ,digging a mout around the walls and using the dirt to elevate their camp and this was all done in a day .
A Feast was held for their new ally in the war to come and the northmen were very greatful for the romans help.
