Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

Sam just clocked out when he heard the national alarm system ring.

"PLEASE GO TO THE NEAREST SAFE SPOT AND HIDE. THERE IS A METEOR FLYING ONTO EARTH. THIS IS NO TEST."

It repeated endlessly until most people got that something serious is going on.

Sam managed to react at the first repetition. He thought which spot would be the best to hide and thought of the subway as it is underground and sufficiently safe.

He ran and thought about his parents as he tried to call them on the way. His bag and clothes fluttered as he ran.

"The person is not in reach, please try to call at another time."

"Shit, I hope they are okay."

Sam hoped that his parents were okay. After a short run, he arrived and saw that he wasn't the only one to have the same idea. There were hundreds of people trying to go down. He was sure that some people have died in this stampede, but he could not concentrate on that now. There was no place for him to go, so he tried to fight his way in with his strength but one guy cannot fight against a crowd, so he was pushed back out just shortly after. He looked up as he could see a burning light in the sky rushing to him.

'Hah… Do I really have to die like this? I didn't even marry or repay my parents for all they did for me.'

Sam was an orphan that was abandoned, and his parents were the one to take him in. They treated him like his own son, possibly because they were old and could not have a child of their own. Even when they did not have enough money to feed themselves, they always made sure their lovely child would be full.

'I hope they are safe and don't worry about me that much. In the next life, I will make sure to be a good man, so nobody would suffer because of me'

Sam already closed his eyes as he awaited his death.

Sam blinked his eyes as his awaited death didn't come. He looked around him and saw that everyone was looking up into the sky with dumbfounded expressions. So he looked up to and surprise there was only the blue clear sky which was unbelievable for them. Everybody saw the asteroid with their own eyes, and it was huge. Huge enough to destroy earth completely.

Sam couldn't believe it as he was staring for minutes just like the crowd.

"We live! Hahaha"

The shout of a person brought him back to reality as tears flowed down his cheeks.

'I will make sure to live well'

He was no exception as there were many people like him in the crowd but not many would follow their vow that they made.

Sam was back at his home. He went to the bathroom to fresh himself up after this disastrous event. When he looked at himself at the mirror, he was surprised.

It was still the same person, but his eyes had changed, and he looked a lot more handsome as it was emitting some kind of charm.

His clean white forehead was free of pimples, and he remembered that it wasn't like this in the morning. His eyes went from a hazelnut brown to a dark ocean blue color.

It was really mystifying. His whole face just shouted handsome and clean.

'Since when was I so handsome? I am pretty sure that something changed.'

He didn't even notice his eyes as he was concentrating on his face.

'Whatever.'

He washed his face and noticed that on his backhand there was an hourglass that looked really futuristic.

It was so well-made that you could even see the little corns clearly.

'What the hack happened? Is this something special or did this happen to everyone? Did everyone get some kind of superpower?'

'Hmm… an hourglass should be connected to time. Can I do something with time? I should try a bit'

He took his phone out and looked at the time -8:00 PM-

He tried a few things out just like snapping his fingers or other moves like Spider-Man.

Would there be another person, he would think Sam fled from a mental hospital.

'Nothing seems to be working. Am I just hoping too much? But I feel like there is something different'

He tried to use his mind and think about going back in time.

He looked at his phone and watched the time 8:00 PM

'Hahaha, I think I did it. I knew that something is different, and it really was true'

'Can I go back more than just some minutes?'

He tried going back a day or just more. He wanted to test his limits

When he opened his eyes, he saw a complete different apartment. It really showed that it was a different time.

'Shit, I think I went too far'

He went out and saw that it looked a lot older.

I think I went more than twenty years back. There was no modern cars driving or any people walking and watching their phones.
