Kent Martin's shout of "brother-in-law" was so smooth and loud, the atmosphere turned strangely awkward.
It took Isabelle Martin a good while to react, her pretty face flushing completely red, and she turned to glare fiercely at her brother.
Kent Martin gave an awkward laugh, "It was a slip of the tongue, a slip of the tongue..."
But in his heart, he was thinking he knew she glared at him, but didn't know how happy she was!
Only after glaring at her brother did Isabelle Martin uneasily look at Jeffrey Foster, only to see Jeffrey sitting calmly in the passenger seat, as if he hadn't heard Kent call him brother-in-law.
His reaction made Isabelle secretly breathe a sigh of relief, but also inexplicably disappointed.
"My brother got hit on the back of the head, I'm taking him to the hospital for a check-up, then I can drop you home, is that okay?" Isabelle asked, suppressing her chaotic emotions, and sought Jeffrey Foster's opinion.
