Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 [Arc 1]

It was no surprise to Desmond that one demon or group of demons would try to kill him, he was always prepared for that, so were his brothers. He also knew that many would also try to kidnap [Name], or harm him, to get to him because he was his weakness. Desmond let out a sigh, he watched as Barbatos healed [Name]'s leg, Barbatos stood up, his face scrunched up into a frown. He walked over to Diavolo and whispered something to him that made Diavolo look at [Name] in surprise.

Satan went over and helped Isabella get [Name] onto his back so they could get him into the limousine, as well as to make sure he was breathing properly. The drive on the way back was quiet. Even Beel wasn't eating, even though his stomach was rumbling, staring at [Name] with concern.

Lucian sighed as he watched this and smiled, at least his transmigrator is actually liked in this world. He focused on the task at hand and started healing the leg, starting with cell production, then mending the tissue and the bone, healing the muscle and adjusting the skin. He looked at [Name] who was resting in the back of his mind, sleeping. Lucian turned and made his way to wake his Host up.

'[Name], you should wake up now. I have healed your injury.'

'Hmm... o-oh really? Thank you, how come I didn't feel anything?'

'You were asleep, I disconnected your nerves in the area, so your brain didn't receive any messages for you to register pain.'

'Oh, thank you again.'

'It is my duty as your system.'

[Name] slowly came into consciousness, he was put back into control, and started moving into a sitting position, leaning on the closest thing or demon next to him, being Belphie, and rubbing his face into Belphie's shoulder, making the latter flush a bit.

"[Name], what are you doing?" asked a confused Belphie.

"I want to sleep, but I woke up."

"No, why are you laying on me?"

"Can I not lay on you? You're comfy."

"Then why don't you lay on my thighs [Name]-kun?" asked Asmo, who was next to Belphie.

Belphie and Desmond glared daggers at Asmo.

"Mammon. Beelzebub. Move. Switch places with those two, Levi switch with me."

"What?! Why me? -"

"Mammon. Move."

There was reluctance in Belphie's actions and a mumbled protest from Asmo which was silenced by a glare from Desmond.

Desmond was now to the right of [Name] with Beelzebub and Mammon to the left of [Name].

"You can lean on me now if you want?" asked Desmond, who was feeling shy and looking at his hands.

'Your next mission, sir, is to raise your love level with Desmond.'

'Oh, okay? What is my level right now? What is it out of?'

'It is currently at 10, the full bar is 100. If you complete this, you'll be rewarded 500 points and you can choose two skills for another world. To reach 100, you'll also need to consummate as well. But it would be best if you respond to Desmond; I shall tell you more information later.'

[Name] blinked slowly, gently laid his head onto the other's shoulder whilst looking into Desmond's eyes and leaned on him, which soon turned into a massive snuggle.

"B-be careful of your leg!"

"I will be fine. I've been through worse..." [Name] then asked Desmond in a lilting tone, "Is my dear worried about me?" a teasing lilt in his tone.

"Yes. Of course, I am. You pushed me out of the way when the chandelier fell." Desmond said quietly, completely ignoring the fact that his brothers were listening in on their conversation.

"Anyone would have done the same."

"No, the others all ran away, to save themselves."

"Your brothers would have saved you."

"I know."

"Treasure them. You do know that when something falls apart, they'll be there to support you. They will be there first."

Desmond's eyes narrowed and grasp tightening on [Name]'s hand, looking intensely into [Eye Colour] eyes.

"What do you mean?"

[Name] looked away, then looked back into Desmond's eyes, "If you're left alone for too long you can go insane. Being alone and putting up walls hurts those around you. Your brothers are there for you. If you talk to them more, they'll understand."

Desmond sighed, looking to the side, "Easier said than done."

[Name] reached out a slender hand and stroked Desmond's face, "You'll never know until you try. I won't always be here-"

"Don't say that."

"Desmond-" [Name] started again.

"Do not. Ever. Say that."

"When the time has come and I am fading away, don't mourn for too long," [Name] was now speaking to all of them, "Today may have been the start of something. Assassination's come out of nowhere. You are aware that people do not like you. Be cautious and be careful."

They arrived in front of the gates and walked in, up the pathway and through the doors, the other brothers went back to their rooms to do what they normally do, Mammon waited to speak with [Name] now that all of his brothers had left, "What do you mean [Name]? What you said on the ride back. Is there something you're not telling us? You've changed so much after the accident."

[Name] didn't know what to tell them, that his next mission is to die, he figured that it wouldn't go too well. [Name] grimaced, he crossed his arms over his chest.

"We're not stagnant Mammon. People change-"

"You're not changing! You are pushing us away!" Mammon's voice was raised, showing his distress.

He flinched when [Name] grabbed him roughly by the shoulder and looking into his eyes intensely, Mammon grimaced in pain as he felt [Name]'s fingers dig into his shoulder, "Calm down, don't get worked up over nothing."

[Name] brought Mammon up the stairs and to his room. He sat the latter on his bed and leaned against the wall opposite Mammon.

'Lucian.'

'Yes?'

'Can I tell Mammon?'

'If it makes you feel better. But he cannot disclose this information to anyone lest this world falls apart.'

'Oh, thank you.'

'Anything else?'

'No. That is all, thank you.'

[Name] turned back at Mammon, letting out a breath, "I'm dying."

"WHAT?!" roared Mammon.

"Quiet down!" [Name] hissed.

"... You said everything was fine," said Mammon in a weak voice, not looking at the other.

"Well, it is for you guys. So, don't be too surprised when I start doing reckless things. This is just a heads up and whatever you do, do not, I repeat, do not tell any of the others."

"They deserve to know."

"I don't care. It'll be better this way."

[Name] gets his phone out and calls Isabella.

"Hey, [Name]!" [Name] winced at the loud music that was playing in the background.

"Hey. Can I join you?"

"Hmm, oh sure! Shall I send you a ride?"

"If it's not too much trouble?"

"Sure. See you in a bit!"

[Name] hung up and looked at Mammon, raised an eyebrow, smirking, "Can you keep the secret?"

"Take me with you."

"Mood," [Name] sighed whilst smiling wryly, "Go get changed!"

[Name] watched as Mammon ran out of his room to get ready. [Name] threw the tuxedo off, folded it and set it on his bed so he can hang it up when he gets home, he put on a white t-shirt and ripped jeans with a khaki jacket and walked out just as Mammon came out in something similar, [Name] grinned and he got a grin back.

"Let's sneak out! ~" whispered [Name].

Mammon just nodded, and before [Name] even reached the door, a voice sounded behind them.

"Where do you two think you are going?"

"Fuck," muttered [Name].

Desmond glared. There was honking outside, [Name]'s eyes widened so he grabbed Mammon by the wrist and ran out.

"[NAME]! MAMMON! GET BACK HERE!" roared Desmond.

[Name] and Mammon laughed, "We're so going to get slaughtered when we come back. That's if he doesn't follow us," the two chuckled as they jumped into the car, "Put a step on it please!"

Back in the House of Lamentation, Desmond was seething with rage, he turned into his demon form and started wreaking havoc in his office, breaking things, scattering papers.

He was worried, so worried after what happened earlier today. Did those two idiots not value their lives?!? Desmond let out a long-suffering sigh. Hopefully, nothing bad happens to them.
