Bai Qingling paused for a second under Chu Junming's gaze.
Then she blinked and asked, "Why are you looking at me like that, did I say something wrong?"
Chu Junming shook his head, a cheerful smile playing on his lips, "No, you shouldn't be polite to someone like Jiang Qian."
Bai Qingling glanced at him a couple more times, thinking Chu Junming seemed a bit odd.
She mentally replayed the words she said to Jiang Qian just now.
A hint of embarrassment rose on her delicate face, as if she'd said something a bit thoughtless.
But what she said was true; she did spend a few billion of his, though it was by trickery.
"Um, I'm hungry. What's for lunch?"
Bai Qingling stood up, covering her belly to hide her unease.
Chu Junming raised an eyebrow and stood up as well, "There are ingredients in the fridge, go pick something out yourself."
The two of them went downstairs to the kitchen together. Bai Qingling paused for a moment when she opened the fridge and saw it full.
