"'Yao Platform Trail' will officially start filming in a week. Luckily, all the shooting locations are right here in Jiang City, so you can come back and spend time with Mianmian in the evenings."
Jun parked her white Land Rover downstairs at Shi Su's home, and turned to look at Shi Su, who had been reading the script all the way: "This drama has a significant role for the second female lead. The filming period over the next few months will be quite challenging. Initially, she's a simple young girl, but later she turns dark due to an unfair fate. Even though she's the second lead, her main and side storylines run through the entire drama. I have high hopes for this show."
Shi Su lowered her head, still immersed in the script, and said softly, "The emotional shifts of this character are quite delicate; I need to review the script more thoroughly."
Although Shi Su has only been in the industry for two or three years, even the minor roles she played before were done with dedication. Jun trusts her committed attitude and isn't worried about these matters: "Before starting, the production crew will call you for a script read-through, so there's no need to rush. But what's been going on with you lately? When there's no shooting or engagements, you usually visit the company often, but recently you've been shutting yourself at home all day."
Shi Su continued studying the script, without lifting her eyelids, and replied nonchalantly, "The weather's too hot these days; I don't want to get tanned and then be disliked when joining the crew."
Jun chuckled, "Get out of the car, is Mianmian not home?"
"No, she's at kindergarten. I'll pick her up at half past four," Shi Su said, unbuckling her seatbelt.
"I was thinking of going up for a bit, but if Mianmian's not home, forget it." Jun glanced at her phone and suddenly exclaimed, "Oh my gosh, can you guess which celebrity just agreed to make a cameo in this show?"
Shi Su hadn't even opened the car door when Jun dropped that bombshell.
Seeing Jun's eyes sparkling, Shi Su raised an eyebrow, "Seems like she's quite famous?"
"Absolutely famous! It's Shi Yunyin! You probably didn't know since you were abroad, but five years ago, Shi Yunyin was only nineteen when she shot to fame because of the dance she performed behind veils in Mr. Zhang's movie 'Chi Xiao.' The film gained quite a bit because of her dance, earning a prestigious award nomination, and she even won the title! The first so young to win Best Actress in the country, how's that for fame?"
Shi Su's fingers paused slightly on the car door lock.
"Even though her dance was breathtaking back then, she hasn't danced since despite participating in many variety shows. She injured her leg while filming two years ago and is said to never be able to dance again." Jun sighed, "In the film, she danced behind a veil, so her face wasn't visible, leaving many fans with regret, unable to relive the classic moments, truly a pity..."
Shi Su's gaze showed no emotion, "Really?"
"I heard Shi Yunyin had an older sister accompany her when she first entered the industry, but no one's ever seen this sister. Something allegedly happened five years ago with the Shi Family. Hey Shi Su, I'm talking to you, why are you rushing out of the car?"
"Jun, I'm heading upstairs; the injured rabbit we just got is starving, I need to go back and feed it." Shi Su hurriedly said goodbye and decisively shut the car door before leaving.
"Hey, don't eat spicy food these days; it's tricky to cover up acne with makeup!"
Shi Su didn't turn back, raised her hand to make an OK gesture behind her, and swiftly slipped into the building entrance.
"There's no one home. What's the hurry to go back?" Jun's gossip-loving spirit was still burning as she was about to drive away, but suddenly she glanced down at a slightly crumpled piece of paper on the passenger seat and curiously picked it up to read.
"1. Men's shower gel, 2. Razor, 3. Estimated height about 188, standard weight, best to ask the clerk for clothing size, 4. Men's indoor slippers..."
The handwriting was Shi Su's.
It must have been a casually noted list to avoid forgetting to buy something.
Jun raised her head to gaze at the nearby building for quite a while, her expression growing serious, ultimately turning to shock.
Could Shi Su be secretly keeping a pretty boy at home behind her back...?
